Internship Selfie #2
POL Preparation
As I mentioned before, I really like how the whole team interacts with each other. This is something I always looked up to throughout my internship. It almost feels like working with family. I think this is one of the reasons why I was never too focused on giving this perfect impression. I always felt comfortable when asking questions or getting things clarified.
Since I've never had a job, this made me understand what is like to wake up very early, take the bus and the Trolley and walk a bit to arrive just in time to work, spend 7 to 8 hours at work and then go back home. At first I would always compare actual work with school, because we spend 7-8 hours at school five days a week. But after my internship I realized that they're not that similar. Just like Dolly Parton's song Nine to Five which describes a whole work day routine and it feels more like a must, instead if an obligation.
Now that I'm almost done with my internship, I wonder if I will feel the same way when I have a real job or future internships. Maybe I just feel the way do right now because the transition from school to work was impacting.
