PROJECTS:
-XONR8 Theater HUMANITIES: (Fall 2014)
Inspired by a couple of plays that we read in class (like The Crucible and The Exonerated) we were divided in small groups to create a verbatim play of our own based on an interview we conducted, interviewing a member of the California Innocence Project.
-XONR8 BIOLOGY: (Fall 2014)
In collaboration with the California Innocence Project, we were assigned different cases to analyze and determine if the case should be approved or denied on a presentation for the Lawyers.
-Cycle Eastlake SPANISH: (Spring 2014)
The whole 10th grade class was part of this big community event, Cycle Eastlake, where we had the opportunity to create our own booths representing what we had learned throughout the semester. We were divided in several groups, each one representative of a specific health topic.
-Model United Nations Project HUMANITIES: (Spring 2014)
The whole 10th grade class participated as delegates on a Model UN conference.
-Solar Oven Project CHEMISTRY: (Winter-Spring 2014)
Created a solid and functional solar oven by creating small scale models and proceeding to the real oven.
-Never Again HUMANITIES: (Winter 2014)
In this project, we basically learned about multiple genocides that have occurred and created interactive booths for two big exhibitions: the first one was in Festival del Sol in HTHCV, and the second one in University of San Diego.
-Just a Taste: Local and Organic HUMANITIES: (Fall 2013)
This project consisted on making a restaurant where we served “local and organic” food, prepared and served by our team.
-Dia de los Muertos Exhibition SPANISH: (Fall 2013)
Our whole class organized a big family event in Third Ave. celebrating the traditional Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We were separated in different teams in order to create different booths and sections to entertain and teach visitors a little about this Mexican tradition.

- Contacted several organizations by phone calls and emails.
- Created interactive booths for exhibition, such as a representative map which demonstrated how people can help different South Sudanese organizations and refugees here in San Diego.
- Took notes and documented everything the team had done.
- Volunteered to visit the South Sudan Community Center .
